Thai AirAsia Check-in Information
Passengers traveling with AirAsia and AirAsia X can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:
Web Check-in:
Check in online at AirAsia.com, follow the steps to complete your check-in, and
print your boarding pass yourself.
AirAsia Mobile App:
Use the AirAsia Mobile App to check in and receive a barcode, which you can use
to reprint your boarding pass at the airport. Eligible passengers will receive
an e-boarding pass.
Airport Check-in Kiosks:
Check-in kiosks are available at most airports in Malaysia, India, Indonesia,
Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore. You can print your boarding passes and
bag tags at these kiosks when you check in.
Self Check-in Availability:
For most flights, self check-in (Web, App, and Kiosk) opens 14 days before
departure and closes 1 hour before departure for AirAsia flights and 4 hours
before departure for AirAsia X flights.
Even if you have self-checked in, it's advisable to arrive at the airport early,
as there may be long queues at immigration and security checkpoints. Also,
please take note of the baggage drop closing times.
Opening and closing times are as follows:
Domestic Flights:
- Opens: 2 hours before departure
- Closes: 1 hour before departure (30 minutes before departure from Japan, and
45 minutes before departure from other airports)
International Flights:
- Opens: 3 hours before departure
- Closes: 1 hour before departure (all airports)
If verification of the boarding pass is required, proceed to the AirAsia
document check counter. Otherwise, head to the boarding gate according to the
boarding time stated on your boarding pass. Note that the boarding gate closes
20 minutes before departure.
Airport Counters Check-in:
There is no check-in fee for all international flights.
Domestic flights: Counter opens 2 hours prior to departure and closes 45 minutes
prior to departure.
International flights: Counter opens 3 hours prior to departure and closes 1
hour prior to departure.
