Thai AirAsia X Check-in Information
Passengers traveling with AirAsia and AirAsia X have several convenient check-in options available:
Web Check-in:
You can conveniently check in online by visiting AirAsia.com. Follow the
instructions to complete your check-in and print your boarding pass.
AirAsia Mobile App:
Use the AirAsia Mobile App to check in and receive a barcode, which can be used
to reprint your boarding pass at the airport. Eligible passengers will receive
an e-boarding pass.
Airport Check-in Kiosks:
Find check-in kiosks at most airports in Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand,
the Philippines, and Singapore. Print your boarding passes and bag tags at these
kiosks when you check in at the airport.
Self Check-in Availability:
For most flights, self check-in (via Web, App, and Kiosk) opens 14 days before
departure and closes 1 hour before departure for AirAsia and 4 hours before
departure for AirAsia X flights.
Even if you've completed self check-in, it's advisable to arrive at the airport
with ample time, as there may be long queues at immigration and security
checkpoints. Also, take note of the closing times for baggage drop.
Opening and Closing Times:
- For domestic flights, check-in opens 2 hours before departure and closes 1
hour before departure (30 minutes before departure from Japan and 45 minutes
before departure from other airports).
- For international flights, check-in opens 3 hours before departure and closes
1 hour before departure at all airports.
If verification of your boarding pass is required, proceed to the AirAsia
document check counter. Otherwise, head to the boarding gate according to the
time stated on your boarding pass. Boarding gates close 20 minutes before
departure.
Airport Counters Check-in:
There is no check-in fee for all international flights. For domestic flights,
the counter opens 2 hours before departure and closes 45 minutes before
departure. For international flights, the counter opens 3 hours before departure
and closes 1 hour before departure.
