Thai AirAsia X Children Flying Alone Policy

Children under the age of 12 (Unaccompanied Minors) are not permitted to travel alone on AirAsia flights unless accompanied by an individual who, on the day of departure, is at least 18 years old or older. These children must be seated next to the accompanying adult during the flight.

Young Passengers Travelling Alone (YPTA)

Children aged 12 to below 16 years old on the day of departure are classified as Young Passengers Travelling Alone (YPTA).

Airport Handling for YPTA

• Children will be allowed for travel only after their parents or guardian have completed and signed the AirAsia Release and Indemnity Form for Acceptance of YPTA, available at the check-in counter.

• Parents or guardians must remain at the airport until the flight has departed to ensure that the child is not left unattended in case of flight delays or cancellations.

• Pre-boarding or meet-and-assist service will be provided.

Please note:

A YPTA is not considered an adult and cannot accompany children below 12 years old.

Guests under 18 years old

Guests aged between 16 to 17 years old on the day of departure can travel without completing any forms and will be treated as adults. However, they cannot accompany a child under 12 years old.
