Chiang Rai International Airport
Mae Fah Luang–Chiang Rai International Airport (formerly known as Chiang Rai
International Airport) (IATA: CEI, ICAO: VTCT) is located in the city of
Chiang Rai in northern Thailand. Positioned approximately 10 kilometers from
the city center, the airport has been under the management of Airports of
Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) since 1998.
In 2013, the airport saw substantial activity, accommodating over 1,000,000
passengers and handling 7,000 passenger flights. While the airport is
equipped with facilities to support international flights, it currently
operates only two international routes: one to Hong Kong International
Airport and the other to Kunming Changshui International Airport.
Mae Fah Luang–Chiang Rai International Airport serves as a key air travel
hub for the northern region of Thailand, providing vital connectivity for
both local and international travelers. The airport's infrastructure is
