Thai Airways operates from its primary hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport and secondary hub at Phuket International Airport. As of May 2024, the airline, along with its subsidiaries, serves over 60 destinations across 37 countries. Its fleet of 36 aircraft includes wide-body aircraft from both Boeing and Airbus, while its subsidiary Thai Smile operates narrow-body aircraft.
Thai Airways previously operated two of the world's longest non-stop routes
between Bangkok and Los Angeles and New York City. However, due to factors such
as high fuel prices, the withdrawal of aircraft, luggage weight limits, and
rising airfares, the airline discontinued all non-stop US services indefinitely
in 2012.
Additionally, Thai Airways is a founding member of the Star Alliance.
